We in our busy lives, seeking success, making money, Luxury etc etc forget basic things. This book in 34 incidents beautifully depicts how the most the trivial things in life can brings a lot of joy and the memories gets etched forever. It did make a good, fun read. Every incident carried a nugget of thought, that made me think. I give this book a thumbs-up, its worth a read.

Preeti’s 34bubblegums and candies is a compilation of 34 small stories and I don’t know why she says that some are candies and some are bubble gums. For me, each of them was a candy, a candy that I would want to keep savoring. Each of these stories conveys a subtle, genuine but a deep message. It’s the honesty in the narration and the genuineness of the text that bowls you our. Most of these candies will begin with the commonest of the incidents or situations that we have encountered, and then, the author takes over, it builds on you like a soft melody and you start adoring the simplicity of her style.

It's a book for light reading but it is a book that makes you think a lot. It is a kind of a book that is very easy to relate to. The book has 34 true stories that is humourous, inspirational (not preachy) and short. The author has managed to capture the small incidents of life quite beautifully.

You see, each story gives you the chance to sit back and think. About the various opportunities life really offers us if we actually bother to notice them. And I think that’s where the book wins. Moreover, being blogposts, they’re satisfyingly short for the ‘I’m too busy’ man, funny enough for the ‘I hate serious stuff’ teen and thought provoking enough for the ‘I’m transcendental’ dude.

Love, Hope, Humour… It has everything in it. And unlike those complicated stories with messages which leave you thinking “Now what exactly did the author mean by saying that?”, Preeti’s book brings you great messages in a way that is clear to all. Moreover, I found it very easy to relate to incidents narrated in it.

The ‘bubble gums’ implore the reader to sit back and reflect at life and injects the stimuli to live life to the fullest. And if you believe that there have been books in the past which does just the same, let me tell you few areas where Preeti's easily wins over any of them - you can read her book while waiting for your cooker to whistle; you can read while your washing machine is churning to its conclusion; and of course you can read while traveling! The book is, to quote a newspaper headline that carries a review, refreshingly simple. It is not over-theorized and gives enough room for the reader to breathe. It is an anytime pick which would urge the reader to capture the sheer joy of living life to the fullest.

What makes it so close to my heart is the situations given in the book. It's slice of life. I can relate to almost every story, my favourite one being- Feeling Needed. Your book's now placed next to Roald Dahl in my book self, a position well deserved !

'34 bubblegums and candies' was the first of its kind book especially for me, who swears by Sidney Sheldon and Dan Brown. It was a refreshing change for me. Currently, it is the energy tonic for me. Whenever I feel mentally fatigued, I just read 2-3 of the 'bubblegums' and enjoy its lingering effect for the rest of the day.

BTW I am writing to you on behalf of my mom. She read your book - and she has just fallen in love with it. I had gifted it to my mum and she just loved it ..... so all thanks to you :-)
As she is not too internet savvy she had given me this work of writing to you. In fact, even I have read a few stories from the book and let me tell you they are brilliant.
